How do I port in multiple existing numbers to Telgea?

Updated over a week ago

Porting multiple phone numbers to Telgea is straightforward. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth process.

1. Initiate the Port-In Request

Ensure you are a company admin and can log into the Mobile Plan Portal. Not a company admin? Reach out to your IT department and ask them to help you.

  1. Log into the Mobile Portal: Start by logging into your Telgea account through the Mobile Portal.

  2. Create a Port-In Request: Navigate to the Port-In section and submit a request to transfer multiple numbers. You will need to provide the following details:

    1. Plan Selection: Choose the plan you wish to have once the porting is complete.

    2. Desired Port-In Date: Select the date you want the porting to take effect. Please note that this date must be a weekday (Monday to Friday) and should be at least 7 days from today, but no more than 3 months away.

2. Country-Specific Documentation and Requirements

For multiple numbers, each country and provider combination requires its own separate request.

  • For example:

    • If you have numbers with two different providers in Sweden, you must submit two separate requests—one for each provider.

    • If all numbers are with the same provider in the same country, you can include them in a single request.

Each country has unique information requirements for submitting a Letter of Authorization (LOA) or Power of Attorney (POA) to the provider on your behalf.
You will be required to provide specific details, which can be found below for each country:

Additionally, we require the most recent invoice from the current provider for the numbers you wish to port. This invoice helps verify the ownership of the numbers and ensures a seamless process.

Once all necessary information has been gathered, Telgea will contact the account administrator to sign a document authorizing us to port the numbers on your behalf.

3. Select or Create a User and add phone numbers

Each phone number being ported must be associated with a user in Telgea’s system.

  • Existing Users: If the user already exists in your Telgea account, simply select them during the port-in process.

  • New Users: If the user does not already exist, you’ll need to provide the following details to create their profile:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

    • Phone Number

This ensures the number is correctly assigned to the right user once the porting process is complete.

4. Porting Timeline and Confirmation

  • Processing Time: Typically, porting multiple numbers takes about 7–10 days. Telgea can expedite the process to 5–7 days if needed, though this may increase the risk of rejection from your current carrier. Contact support for more details on expedited requests.

  • Regular Updates: We will keep you informed throughout the process, providing updates on the status of your porting request and notifying you when the numbers are ready to port.

  • Installation Setup: Once the porting is complete, we will provide you with detailed instructions for setting up your eSIMs, including links to our Help Centre articles for eSIM activation on iPhone and eSIM activation on Android.
