What Should I Do If the eSIM Is Stuck Activating on My iOS Device?

If your Telgea eSIM is stuck on the "Activating" screen on your iOS device, there are a few steps you can follow to resolve the issue.

Updated over a week ago

Sometimes, an eSIM can get stuck activating on an iOS device. This usually happens when you have installed an eSIM but haven't yet arrived at your destination country/region. You can rest easy knowing that the eSIM is fully installed, even if it displays "activating" or "activation failure.". The activation process will finish when you reach your destination and are within the network coverage area.

Remember, even if the eSIM remains stuck on activating, you should still be able to use other features that don't rely on network connectivity. Once you reach your destination and the device is within the network coverage area, the eSIM should activate successfully, and you can start using it.

When the eSim fails you can always try out these ways to solve the issue:

Check Your Internet Connection

Make sure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network. A weak or unstable connection can cause activation issues. Try toggling Wi-Fi off and on again or switch to a different Wi-Fi network if available.

Restart Your iPhone

Sometimes, a simple restart can help. Turn your iPhone off and back on again, then try activating the eSIM once more.

Remove and Reinstall the eSIM

If restarting your device doesn’t work, you can try removing the Telgea eSIM profile from your device and reinstalling it.

Here’s how:

- Go to Settings > Cellular.

- Tap on the Telgea eSIM profile.

- Select Remove Cellular Plan.

- Reinstall the eSIM by scanning the QR code or entering the details manually, then try activating it again.

Update Your iOS

Ensure that your device is running the latest version of iOS. Go to **Settings** > **General** > **Software Update** and check if there are any updates available. If there is an update, install it and then try activating the eSIM again.

Reset Network Settings

If the eSIM is still not activating, resetting your network settings might help. Please note that this will erase saved Wi-Fi passwords and other network settings.

To reset network settings:

- Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

- Enter your passcode if prompted and confirm the reset.

After resetting, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and try activating the Telgea eSIM again.
