Porting a single phone number to Telgea is a simple process. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transition.
1. Initiate the Port-In Request
Ensure you are a company admin and can log into the Mobile Plan Portal. Not a company admin? Reach out to your IT department and ask them to help you.
Log into the Mobile Portal: Start by logging into your Telgea account through the Mobile Portal.
Create a Port-In Request: Navigate to the Port-In section and submit a request to transfer one number. You will need to provide the following details:
Phone Number: The number you want to port to Telgea.
Plan Selection: Choose the plan you wish to have once the porting is complete.
Desired Port-In Date: Select the date you want the porting to take effect. Please note that this date must be a weekday (Monday to Friday) and should be at least 7 days from today, but no more than 3 months away.
2. Provide Required Authorization Code
Depending on your country, different data is needed. See the list below for details:
3. Select or Create a User
Each phone number being ported must be associated with a user in Telgea’s system.
Existing Users: If the user already exists in your Telgea account, simply select them during the port-in process.
New Users: If the user does not already exist, you’ll need to provide the following details to create their profile:
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
This ensures the number is correctly assigned to the right user once the porting process is complete.
4. Porting Timeline and Confirmation
Processing Time: While porting typically takes around 7 days, Telgea can process it in as few as 3-4 days. However, faster processing may increase the risk of rejection from your current carrier. Contact us if you wish to expedite the process.
Final Confirmation: On the selected port-in date, your number will be fully transferred to Telgea. You will receive a confirmation email on that day, letting you know that your number has been successfully ported. If you haven't already switched to your new eSIM, this will be the time to do so.
