How do I port in my existing number to Telgea?

Updated over a week ago

Porting your existing phone number to Telgea is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transition.

Initiate the Port-In Request

Ensure you are a company admin and can log into the Mobile Plan Portal. Not a company admin? Reach out to your IT department and ask them to help you.

  1. Log into the Mobile Portal: Start by logging into your Telgea account through the Mobile Portal.

  2. Create a Port-In Request: Navigate to the Port-In section and submit a request. You will need to provide the following details:

  3. Phone Number:The number you want to port to Telgea.

  4. Plan Selection:Choose the plan you wish to have once the porting is complete.

  5. Desired Port-In Date:Select the date you want the porting to take effect. Please note that this date must be a weekday (Monday to Friday) and should be at least 7 days from today, but no more than 3 months away.

#### 2. **Provide Required Authorization Code**

Depending on your country, you may need to provide an authorization code:

- **United Kingdom:** You must provide a PAC (Porting Authorization Code), which you can obtain from your current carrier.

- **Other Countries:** In some countries, such as Sweden, the required code may be your company’s VAT number. If any additional code is needed, Telgea will prompt you during the porting request process.

#### 3. **Install Your eSIM**

Once you submit your port-in request:

- **Temporary Number:** You will receive a temporary number that can be used immediately. An email will be sent to you, similar to the regular "new plan" email, detailing how your number is in the process of being ported.

- **eSIM Installation:** You can install your eSIM right away and start using it with the temporary number.

#### 4. **Porting Timeline and Confirmation**

- **Processing Time:** While porting typically takes around 7 days, Telgea can process it in as few as 3-4 days. However, faster processing may increase the risk of rejection from your current carrier. Contact us if you wish to expedite the process.

- **Final Confirmation:** On the selected port-in date, your number will be fully transferred to Telgea. You will receive a confirmation email on that day, letting you know that your number has been successfully ported. If you haven't already switched to your new eSIM, this will be the time to do so.

#### 5. **Need Help?**

If you encounter any issues or have questions about the porting process, our support team is here to help. You can reach us via chat on the Mobile Portal or by emailing us at [email protected].

We strive to make your transition to Telgea as seamless as possible. Thank you for choosing us!
