Data policies for teams:
Data policies for teams allow admins to define how much data users inside of each team can consume each month within each shared data pool.
Policies can be configured separately for:
Home Zone
Business Zone
Rest of World
This helps your organization manage data consumption while giving employees flexibility to travel and work internationally.
How to configure a policy for a team:
Log in to the Telgea Admin Portal.
Navigate to Teams.
Select the team you want to manage.
Open the Policies tab.
Set the monthly data threshold for:
Home Zone
Business Zone
Rest of World
Save your changes.
The updated threshold will automatically apply to users in that team.
What happens when a policy is updated?
Whenever an admin changes a team policy threshold:
All admins in the organization receive a notification.
The change becomes effective immediately.
Individual Data Policies
Individual Data Policies allow admins to create custom data limits for specific users.
This is useful when certain employees require more or less data than the default team policy allows.
How to set a custom threshold
Open the Admin Portal.
Navigate to Teams.
Select the relevant team.
Open the Policies tab.
Add unique policy.
Select the employee.
Configure the desired threshold for:
Home Zone
Business Zone
Rest of World
Save your changes.
The user’s custom threshold will override the team’s default threshold.
You can also adjust a specific user’s policy by navigating to their user. Go to Manage Plan and change the desired policy for the user.
Disabling data for a user
Admins can also completely disable a user’s access to a specific data pool. Disabling a pool effectively gives the user a 0 GB data allowance for that pool, preventing them from using mobile data from it.
Data can be disabled separately for:
Home Zone
Business Zone
Rest of World
Admins can re-enable the pool at any time. Once re-enabled, the user’s applicable data policy will determine how much data they can use.
Notifications
When a user’s data threshold is changed:
The affected user receives a notification in the Telgea app.
All admins can view the updated policy configuration.
When a user’s data pool is disabled or re-enabled:
The affected user receives a notification.
The updated status is displayed in the Telgea app, making it clear whether the user currently has access to data from that pool.
