Porting a Single Number in Germany with Telgea

What You’ll Need

To ensure your port request goes through smoothly, have the following details ready:

  • Number in E164 Format: Example: +49 XXXX XXXXXX.

  • Current Carrier Details: The current carrier you wish to port from.

  • Account number: The account number you have with your existing provider.

How it Works

  • Submit the Request in the Telgea Portal: Follow the steps outlined here, and upload your documents.

Quick Tips for Success

  • Check Contract Terms: In Germany, numbers can typically only be ported after the contract period with your current provider ends. Contact your provider to confirm eligibility and avoid delays.

  • Double-Check Details: Ensure all information, including address and number range (if applicable), matches your current provider’s records to prevent rejections.

Porting for Multiple Numbers in Germany

Preparing Essential Documents

For porting multiple numbers, ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • Letter of Authorization (LOA): Signed and stamped by the authorized user, with clear details on numbers to port and the current contract status.

  • Latest Invoice: Must be from the last 30 days, showing account details and address.

Information Required for the LOA

Your onboarding manager will guide you through completing the LOA, which must include:

  • Authorized Signatory: The person who can approve the transfer, including their signature and title.

  • Current Carrier and Address: A local address within the same city as the number(s) being ported.

  • Number Ranges: If porting a range, include all associated numbers as partial ranges aren’t allowed in Germany.

Important things to note before completing the LOA form:

  • There is a maximum of 10 numbers per porting form.

  • For each city that you are porting numbers in, a different form is required including the address within each city to be filled out.

  • For each donor carrier, a different form is required.

  • If the porting request involves numbers with additional extensions (like 10 or 100 blocks), confirm with your current provider that these can be ported as required.

Document Submission and Review

  • Telgea’s onboarding manager will help you compile and review all necessary documents to ensure accuracy before submission.

Process and Confirmation

  • Your onboarding manager will keep you updated on the porting status and confirm when the process is complete.

  • Telgea coordinates with your current provider to ensure everything transitions smoothly, with real-time status tracking available in the portal.
