Porting Timeframes in Belgium
The processing timeframe depends on the type of numbers being transferred:
Privately-owned numbers: generally processed within 24 hours.
Business-owned numbers: can take up to 48 hours to complete.
When transferring multiple numbers, the numbers may not all complete at the same time, even when they were submitted together and have the same selected porting date.
Users can continue using their existing mobile plans while their transfers are being processed. Each number will remain connected through its current provider until that individual transfer is completed.
The exact completion time can vary depending on the current provider, and some numbers may require additional confirmation before they can be released. As a result, one number may complete earlier in the day while another completes later.
Quick Tips for Success
Keep Numbers Active: All numbers should remain active with the current carrier until their individual transfers are complete.
Don’t Expect Every Number to Transfer Simultaneously: When transferring a batch of numbers, different numbers may complete at different times.
Double-Check Details: Ensure all submitted information matches the current provider’s records to avoid delays or rejection.
Allow for Processing Time: A number that has not transferred at the same time as the others is not necessarily delayed or unsuccessful. It may still be within the normal processing window.
