HRM Chrome Extension

The Telgea Chrome Extension lets you easily assign mobile numbers to employees within your connected HRM system (e.g., HiBob).

Before using the chrome extension with your HRM system ensure Telgea has been integrated with the HRM system.

Installing the Chrome Extension

To get started, follow this link to install the extension:

Note: The extension works exclusively in Google Chrome. Make sure you’re logged in with your Telgea user account.

Once installed, no further setup is required. The extension will automatically activate whenever you log into HiBob using Google Chrome.

Logging into the Chrome Extension

To start using the Telgea Chrome Extension, you need to log in.

  • If you’re already logged into the Telgea Mobile Portal, simply click “Login with Telgea” in the extension. You’ll be logged in automatically.

  • If you’re not logged in, clicking “Login with Telgea” will redirect you to the portal’s login page. Once you’ve logged in there, the extension will update accordingly.

After a successful login:

  • The login box will disappear.

  • A green circle will appear in the lower-right corner of your screen.

This green circle is your quick access point to Telgea inside your HRM system.


Using the Extension

The Telgea Chrome Extension allows you to:

  • View the mobile plan number assigned to an employee.

  • Assign a new mobile plan with a new number.

  • Enable number transfer for employees bringing their own number to Telgea.

View the mobile plan number

When you’re on an employee profile page in your HRM system:

  1. The green Telgea circle will automatically recognize the employee and display their name.

  2. Click the green bar to expand the panel.

  3. If the employee has a Telgea mobile number assigned, it will be shown there.

This makes it quick and easy to check mobile plan details directly within your HRM system.

Assign a number to an employee

For employees who do not have a mobile plan assigned to them from Telgea you will see the options to either Create new number or Transfer number.

Create New Number

To create a new number for an employee:

  1. Click Create New Number.

  2. Select the country the number should be assigned to. This determines the correct prefix for the mobile number.

Review and confirm the employee details. These are automatically pulled from the HRM system and will be used to create the employee profile in the Telgea Mobile Plan Portal (if they are not already registered).

Once the details are confirmed:

  • The new number will be generated. This may take up to 30 seconds.

  • The employee will be created in the Telgea portal with their new number.

  • They will receive an email with instructions on how to install and activate their new Telgea mobile plan.

Transfer Number

If an employee already has a mobile number from another provider they want to keep, you can initiate a number transfer:

  1. Click Transfer Number.

  2. This will send the employee an email with step-by-step instructions on how to transfer their number from their current provider to Telgea.
