📲 Porting Individually-Owned Numbers via User-Initiated Flow

When your business is onboarding many employees who own their mobile numbers, Telgea's user-initiated porting flow simplifies the process.

Updated yesterday

⚠️ Important: This flow only works for whitelisted domains. The domain linked to your Telgea business account is already whitelisted. If your business uses region-specific domains (e.g. yourcompany.se, yourcompany.co.uk), these will need to be whitelisted in advance.

How the Flow Works

  1. Admin Shares the Porting Link
Direct your users to https://portal.telgea.com/transfer to begin their number porting request.

  2. User Enters Name and Email
The email address must match a whitelisted domain associated with your organization.

  3. User Selects Country Code
This ensures the porting form aligns with the regulatory requirements of the number’s country of origin.

  4. User Enters Their Mobile Number
A verification code will be sent to the number to confirm ownership.

  5. User Submits Porting Details
    They’ll provide:

    • Their personal identification number or porting code (varies by country)

    • Their current provider

    • The preferred date to port the number

  6. Admin Approval Required
Once submitted, the account admin will receive a notification to approve or cancel the transfer. This ensures visibility and control over all user-initiated requests.

  7. Porting Continues via Standard Flow
Once approved, the request proceeds through Telgea’s individual number porting process automatically.
