πŸ”Š iMessage Disabled After Installing eSIM

iMessage may stop working after setting up an eSIM on iPhones running iOS 17.0.2 or similar versions.

Updated over a month ago

This issue occurs because the phone number can become unselected in the iMessage settings during the eSIM setup process.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. Navigate to Messages.

  3. Select Send & Receive.

  4. Ensure that your phone number is checked under the "You can receive iMessages to and reply from" section. If it is not selected, tap on your phone number to re-enable it.

This should restore iMessage functionality.
